Date/Time Event Details September 19, 2010 12:00-4:00pm 5th Annual Mid-Autumn Moon Festival at Town Point Park HRFCC will once again participate in the Mid-Autumn Moon Festival at Town Point Park in Norfolk. Come meet HRFCC Board members at our booth and join us for the Parade of Provinces, in which our children gather with others from their birth province in a march around the festival grounds.  Check out the official festival Web site or contact Chuck Ellard for additional information. October 9 or 16, 2010 1:00-4:00pm (Date TBD) HRFCC Moon Fest Always a hit with HRFCC families, the Moon Fest is a great opportunity to meet other families in a very casual atmosphere.  We are tentatively planning to hold this year's Moon Fest at the Pagoda and Oriental Garden in Norfolk.  Check back soon for more details on this event. October 2010 (Date TBD) HRFCC Chinese New Year Planning Committee Meeting Planning the single largest event of HRFCC's year is a big job and we would love to have your help!  The first meeting of the planning committee will take place mid-October.  If you are interested in serving on the planning committee or would like to help out the day of the event, please contact Nikki Camhout or Chuck Ellard. February, 2011 (Date TBD) HRFCC Chinese New Year Celebration Dress up in your best Chinese New Year attire and join us for a celebration of Chinese culture.  We are tentatively planning to return to the Renaissance Portsmouth Hotel & Waterfront Conference Center for the 2011 celebration.  This is traditionally the largest event sponsored by HRFCC, with up to 400 people in attendance.  It's a chance to meet other families who have children from China or who are waiting for adoption referrals, learn more about Chinese culture, catch up with old friends in the HRFCC community, and enjoy Chinese music, dance and crafts.
